Coach Mark Linseman has a Masters in Exercise Nutrition & Metabolism, and over 10 years experience helping athletes to fine-tune their strategies for hydration and fueling during training and racing.
It can be overwhelming trying to sort out the ideal approach to hydration and fueling for exercise. There is a lot of information available, but not all of it is correct or up to date, and not all of it will necessarily work for you in your unique situation. Coach Mark can help you to prioritize and simplify things so that you can be confident you are working on what's best for you.


Topics of conversation can include (but are not limited to):

  • Carbohydrate intake
  • Fluid intake/dehydration
  • Caffeine intake
  • Hydration and fueling before a workout or race 
  • Sodium/electrolyte intake
  • How to measure your sweat rate during exercise
  • Logistics - how will you carry what you need, and will you use any on-course nutrition?
  • How to keep track of your data as you train and gain confidence for your race
