Coach Mark Linseman has a Masters in Exercise Nutrition & Metabolism, and 7 years experience helping athletes to fine-tune their strategies for hydration and fueling during training and racing.
It can be overwhelming trying to sort out the ideal approach to hydration and fueling for exercise. There is a lot of information available, but not all of it is correct or up to date, and not all of it will necessarily work for you in your unique situation. Coach Mark can help you to prioritize and simplify things so that you can be confident you are working on what's best for you.
Topics of conversation can include (but are not limited to):
- Sodium/electrolyte intake
- Carbohydrate intake
- Fluid intake/dehydration
- Caffeine intake
- Hydration and fueling before a workout or race
- How to measure your sweat rate during exercise
- Logistics - how will you carry what you need, and will you use any on-course nutrition?
Coach Mark is not a registered dietitian. This consultation is meant for athletes who have questions about hydration and fueling before, during and after exercise, as opposed to questions about day-to-day nutrition and food intake.
